Classroom picture will be tomorrow Tuesday 28th. Students must wear their uniforms for our classroom picture. A flyer will be sent out today.
This week will be the 3rd ASU Benchmark (ELA-Tuesday 2/28 and Math-Wednesday 3/1). It is a very busy time but we all need to take a moment to support our children including helping them overcome any type of anxiety and be prepared. Please make sure your child is well rested and had a healthy breakfast.
From now to the end of the school year, our class will be participating in UNICEF Kid Power, a program from the U.S. Fund for UNICEF. UNICEF Kid Power gives kids the power to save lives. By getting active with the UNICEF Kid Power Band, kids earn points and unlock therapeutic food packets for severely malnourished children around the world. UNICEF Kid Power is a teacher-led experience that leverages easy-to-use technology and standards-aligned lessons and activities.
The Kid Power Band measures a wearer’s physical activity (steps and movement) using the Band’s pedometer and accelerometer. The Band does not track a wearer’s location and does not have access to any location data or personal information.
On Wednesday March 1st the brands will be going home count students steps and movements at home. That will give us the opportunity to get more power points and food packets.
College Mentors will not be meeting the week of March 6 due to ASU spring break. The program will end the week of April 10.
