3rd-grade students started being lifesavers this week with UNICEF Kid Power! They wear their UNICEF Kid Power Band to turn every step into lifesaving nutrition. This challenge promotes being active and being aware of the needs of others. Every time students are active they earn packets of therapeutic food that bring severely malnourished children back to health. So far Mrs. Grijalva's Smarties Team has raised 103 therapeutic food packets with 1,033 points. Keep on motivating your child to be active during the weekends and spring break. |
Participating in a Fun Run means there is no selling or delivering products. Once our program begins on March 19th, you and friends anywhere in the world can support our school by giving pledges toward the number of laps your child will run on the day of the Fun Run: March 28th.

| Read Across America Day On March 2nd we celebrated Dr. Seuss's birthday by participating in Read Across America Day. We had several guest readers come to our classroom and read to our class. In addition to having guest readers, students participated in several activities, from eating green eggs and ham to reading to 2nd graders. |
AzMerit is around the corner and will sneak up quickly. In our classrooms we are working hard to prepare the students for the test and their futures. I know many parents have asked for resources and have asked questions about the test. If you are interested in more information please visit:
